Xbox Premium

I was told when you buy a premium system it comes with a free month of gold membership. AM i mistaken bescause i cant find the code in any of the monuals or booklets that came with the system. AM i missing somrthing?

It does come with a one free month of Xbox Live Gold. When you sign up for Xbox Live its going to say that you will have a Silver account but after you finish with the process, your account will be upgraded to Gold for one month. You do not need to put any codes or anything, you just get it when you sign up.

I bought xbox 360 premium console a week ago or so and I got a black wireless controller (apparently regarded as controller for elite edition) free with it. But when I tried to use it on my premium console it didn't work.
Do these black controllers work on xbox premium consoles?

Did you sync it correctly. The black controllers should work with all 360s.

To sync, there's a little circular button between the shoulder buttons. It has this ))) symbol. Press it and then press the circular button (next to the 2nd controller input) on your 360.

what's the difference between xbox Premium and xbox platinum systems
so the platinum is also called the core system? because it says it comes with a 20gb hard drive?

There are things that the premium has more then the core. ok easy question....$100 cheaper right. well if you get the cheap one and you want to save a lot of games and want a hard drive. well that will cost $100. so your loseing out. just pay $100 more for more things like. Hard Drive, HD cables, Mic, Wireless controller, chrome on the disk tray (outside)

is there any difference between xbox premium and xbox arcade? and how much space do they have ? and does the arcade have enough space or any disadvantages

The first response is incorrect, the premium comes with a hard-drive but its not internal. It is the same detachable hard drive you can buy separately. It is the same xbox, it has the same graphics, it just does not come with a Hard Drive when you buy the Arcade. The difference between the two is that the Premium comes with a Hard-Drive, and it also comes with the HD component wires (you will still be able to hook up to your HDTV without the wire, but you will not be getting HD quality.) Get the premium, you won't be able to play on xbox live, or download demos, videos, arcade games or movies without the Hard Drive.

I intend to sell my Xbox Premium, then 2 months later, i'l buy an Xbox Elite. How can i keep my original transfer files?

The transfer cable option isnt viable for me, as i will not have the consoles at the same time (i cant afford too). I dont want to lose my gamertag, or my saved game data. Can anyone help me? Any advice would be much appreciated. Thanks.

I guess the only way would be to buy a new hard drive and transfer the information over to it. You will then end up with a backup drive when you buy the new system.
