Xbox Live Vision Camera

i was thinking of getting an xbox live vision camera to video chat with my friends on xbox live, but the price is kind of steep. I was wondering if i could use an offbrand web cam and it would still work on xbox live.

Sorry, but you can only use the xbox live vision camera. You could try to find a cheap on in the classifieds, but the price is only $40 and it comes with a free microphone which is values at $20, so your only paying $20 for the camera if you can sell the microphone. Its a good buy, and im probably getting one tomorrow. Hope this helped

I have a friend who has a webcam on their computer, and i have an Xbox 360. If I get the Xbox Live vision camera, and sign into windows live on my Xbox 360, can I video chat with my friend over Xbox Live with her on Windows Live Messenger with her signed in on her computer?

You should be able to. It all depends on what OS your using. I know the xbox live vision camera has a problem with windows xp but works with windows vista.

I'm cleaning out my drawer and I found my Xbox Live Vision camera. I thought it was a novelty when it was introduced because of Eye Toy like games. Now that Natal is coming, what value is this camera? Can it be used as a USB camera for a PC?

It's worth at least US$10 but you can use it as a PC webcam (drivers can be downloaded by Windows from the web). Natal is a way off yet, and it will only be compatible with new games designed for it, not the current ones that use webcam.

I want to buy a vision camera for my Xbox, but I want to use it for my computer aswell. I'm just wondering if I do buy a Xbox Vision Cam, can I record videos and take pictures from my computer too?

yes you can set the camera usb connected and you could use it
use you're video player and you're good
