I am planning to buy a subscription for xbox live gold. There are two types, codes to extend your subscription and for new accounts. Now my subscription has been finished, and after a week my last subscription finished am buying a new one. Would the subscription for new accounts work for me be suitable for me.

I have an original xbox. Is there some way i can start an Xbox live subscription with just a creditcard with no subscription card?

you can set it up through xbox.com...go to the live section and you can select the regular xbox and they'll take you through the process.

My 1 month xbox live gold membership trial is almost over and i dont know how to pay for xbox live because i'm new with this. I don't want to pay with a credit card so i'm gonna buy the subscription cards. But how do i put the subscription codes in my xbox 360?

sign on to your xbox,go to account management,redem code,then type in using onscreen keyboard.

I have an automatic monthly subscription to xbox live, how can I cancel this? On the website there seems to be no option to do so.

go to xbox.com/accounts
sign in
on the left side of the screen click membership level
click on the word "ON" (should be in green next to "automatic renewel")
change it to OFF
click "next"
your done

I have a friend that has an old XBox Live 12 month subscription card that was never used, before I accept it, I wanted to make sure that it would be compatible to use with the 360 I just bought a few days ago. Can anyone help me out here, I couldn't find any information on whether or not this card will work with my 360 since it's for the old XBox. Thanks.

I used an old xbox live card when i first got my 360 (back in 2007) and had no problems. Bottom line, if your friend is giving the card to you for free...go for it. lol
