Xbox Hd

I have a HD plasma tv. What should I buy to be able to get my original xbox games in High Definition?? And how do I connect the HD? Thanks.

If you bought the premium xbox it comes with component cables. All you have to do is change the switch at the end that plugs into your xbox to HD and then change the settings in the Xbox system blade to match your TV. Your going to want to change it to Widescreen and then to 1080i or 1080p whatever your TV is capable of doing.
As far as making your old games HD i dont think you can do that. The highest they are going to go is 480p which is a little better than what you were viewing them at. Also be aware that when you play old xbox games on a widescreen tv you are going to get black bars down both sides of the game. To remedy this go back into your Xbox system blade and switch your resolution settings from 1080 down to 480p and that will fix the problem. Hope i helped.

Will the Xbox hd work on my vid 1,2,3 or does it need to be on the component setting?

Youi will have to unplug it if you only have 1 set of component connectors on back of your TV. But if you have an HDMI port then you can use that for your xbox assuming you have the HDMI cable.

But you can play the xbox in regular definition by using the yellow cable and setting the cables to TV but to get HD resolutions you need to use the component cables or HDMI.

I have some hd dvd movies with my xbox hd dvd player, but although the graphics are great it is in letterbox widescreen, which is very annoying. Is there any way to stretch the screen or turn the hd movies into widescreen. Any useful info would be much appriciated.

There is no way to do it on the 36T that i know of... but all HD TVs have an option to stretch the image... Look in you TV options.

I got an Xbox 360 and a Motorolla HDTV ready cable box. They both come with the HD cables but my TV has input for one HD device. So everytime I wana play XBOX in HD I have to unhook my cable box. Is there anyway to have both of em running in HD without unpluging one.

I bought the Hama YUV-Selector AV-760, which is able to switch even HDTV output up to 1080p. It has 5 Plugs for 4 inputs each (i.e. Audio left/right, and 3 composite plugs). I have my Wii, the Xbox 360 and my DVD player plugged in, and the picture is fantastic.

I've tried connecting the Red, green and blue plugs with the xbox HD av cable and switched the switch over to HD but nothing comes up on my screen when i boot the xbox up, help!

Is the TV set on the right input?
