Xbox Harddrive

I want to free up some space on my xbox hard drive. My question is when I go into memory and harddrive and you see the games option. When you go into games and delete a game from there what are you deleting?
saved game progress, achievements?

anyone know?

You are deleting the saved games, but you will not delete any achievement points from those games.

I was deleted old games and profiles from my xbox harddrive to make room for other stuff. As i was going through deleting profiles that are from friends that have came over in the past I accidentally deleted my profile :(((( I had soo much shit on it. PLEASE, if there is ANY way possible for me to retrieve this information let me know. THANKS SOO MUCH

You can recover it from Xbox Live by using the recover gamertag option on the dashboard. All you have to do is put in the email address and password you used when making it. This doesn't recover your saves though so if you deleted those too, they're gone for good.

I recently lost a cd i can't replace, but I did rip it to my hardrive of my xbox. Is it possible to build a bridged connection from my xbox to my pc(xp pro) to pull the music off the harddrive? Do I really need to flash the net bios on my xbox? Will the flash program wipe my xbox harddrive? My xbox is also not modded.

see if u can open your X-Box, you will need a torx bit, you can find it at a local hardware store (Menards, Home Depo, lowes, etc.) and crack your case ( dont bust it, it will look discusting with a broken case) and take the hard disc out and mount it inside your computer, you should try it, i beleve the XBOX hard disc is in FAT32.

I'm just wondering how I can store them onto my harddrive. Also will the Xbox read bootleg DVD's?

xbox will read dvds so long as the video is in the right format, i assume it will be in avi and that will be fine. currently you cant download dvds onto your xbox

put the card in. go over to system (far right), select memory and then your memory card. you have to go to each file you want to copy and do it. Some games don't allow their content to be copied, so be careful
