Is it possible to hook an XBOX 360 guitar to a PS3?

I am currently in temporary possession of an Xbox 360 guitar controller but I have a PS3. The Xbox guitar has a USB plug so it'll fit into the PS3, but the PS3 doesn't read it. It detects it as an unknown USB device. Is there something I can do to make the Xbox 360 guitar compatible with the PS3? Like some settings or something?

My youngest daughter like My Chemical Romance and Mindless Self Indulgence. I know there's a MCR- Dead, on one of the guitar hero's but i don't know if its on the one we've got. And i know there's no MSI songs on the one we've got.
Can I download some songs onto the guitar hero we've got or do i need to have Xbox live.


Dead by MCr is on GH2. And you do need live to download songs.

I would like to use my XBOX 360 guitar to play a guitar hero emulator on my computer but it will only let me use a PS2 guitar but I do not have an adapter to connect one to the USB port. Does anyone know how I can use the XBOX guitar for these emulators?


No i dont think it will but it might so i'd try it.

No it wont. You need a PS3 controller to play guitar hero on PS3.
