Like dvd drives, ring of light, fan, heatsinks, basically anything you cant buy at best buy, all inside the xbox?

The only place would be Ebay. Stores will not buy that and if you use something like craigslist your looking to locally. Ebay is your best bet.

Not really no. All of the high end parts in the 360 are built in to the motherboard like the graphics card and the tri-core processor.

I suppose the only thing that you could use would be the disk drive but they are not expensive in the first place so you would not be saving money.

And even if it were possible, your computer would get the Red Ring of Death =)

My old 360 broke and I have all the parts I need and want to play if I get a new Xbox 360 without any parts. I don't want to spend that much money.

So how can I just by the system?

The 360 Arcade is only $199. It's all the standard equipment besides the hard drive.

Can I put the Harddrive and other parts from an Xbox 360 Pro that suffered from the three rings of death into the xbox core system?

Hard drives, controllers, AV cables are interchangeable between the 360s.

You might want to look at the power brick before attempting to use it on another 360. Since the 360 came in 3 different power wattage, there are 3 different types of power brick. Play it safe and use the arcade's power brick on the arcade.

I recently had the problem of E74 on my xbox 360 ARCADE and my warranty ran out. And so i decided i was going to fix, so i opened up the console and realised i had different parts in there to that of the video tutorials. So my question is, is there and online tutorial that shows how to fix it with these different parts in?

man it all depends on the version of you xbox which they are several releases look on the back where the serial # is you should see some numbers it may say version then it may just be the model # take that # type it in to see what version you have like on google
then once you know the version type google. disassemble xbox 360 version...blah blah.. then you should get the proper tutorial
i mean there is the elite , arcade, halo 3 release , and diff versions of each so thats how you find out.. and it's not "diffrent parts" it's really just positioned diffrent the main parts are the same ... what is a e74 problem anyway.. i would type in e74 version...whatever xbox 360 search that. and if you are going to do it yourself make sure you have a sodering gun and some t screwdrivers the star head ones
