i bought it in September of last year, and now, the i cant hear anyone who talks to me . it's not the xbox because i can hear them from my my TV speakers.

check your settings.... if not just get a new one

I'm looking for a Xbox 360 headset for online gaming. My xbox was given by my cousin so I never had any headset experience before. Which one should I choose? The original Microsoft one that they give you with your 360 or these Plantronics? Or do you have any other non-expensive headsets w/mics you recommend. Don't buy a wireless one. They break almost as often as the actual xbox does. Wired ones from gamestop are the best. They have chatpads for 30 bucks at best buy that come with the wired headset. This is a great deal as it's only 10 more dollars then the actual headset. The chatpad is by no means essential but I really enjoy it as microsoft makes their software like their hardware, completly fu.ck.ed that is to say the xbox dashboard text screen is not a qwerty keyboard while the chatpad is. Good investment.

I would go with the first one, it is from a great brand, and reviewers say it is sturdy.

Out of either of those I would go with your second choice. I've not tried either of those as I have Turtle Beaches, those might be a lil expensive for you.. But go with the second set. Happy Gaming!
