Xbox 360 Guitar Hero 3

I would like to know if it is possible to connect an Xbox 360 Guitar Hero 3 controller to a PC. The Guitar Hero 3 controller is wireless, unlike the original X-Plorer guitar that was connected via USB.

I believe you can with the Xbox 360 Wireless Gaming Reciever for Windows. I'm not 100% sure though if it works with the guitar or not.

I have the guitar that came with the Guitar Hero 3 game for Xbox 360. I was just curious if i could use the same guitar for Rock Band. Thanks!
my friend said the guitar hero 2 controller would mostlikely work, just not to sure about GH3.

I found the Phone port on the Guitar Hero 3 guitar and tried to use it on my PC through a phone cable but my PC wouldn't recognize it. Is there a driver or something i can use to make my PC recognize it?

Have you tried simply plugging the USB portion of the guitar into the computer? It should be plug and play. I plugged in my rockband guitar to the computer and it was recognized as a harmonix controller. Then I downloaded 'frets on fire' and played every guitar hero song on the computer for free. I must say I haven't tried a guitar hero controller, so hopefully it's just as easy.

The phone cord input is supposed to be for some foot pedal expansions that I've never seen come out. But here's a peek at them anyway.

gh2 for the xbox 360 has like...6 more songs on it...and they have DLC(downloadable content) for the game...same with gh3...also looks alot better during gameplay

the ps2 versions got the short end of it

My friend and i play guitar hero 3, he plays on the ps3 and i play on a xbox 360, and he wnts 2 go ova 2 his house and play the 2player mode thing, and i was wondering if the xbox 360 guitar hero 3 guitar wrks on his PS3 system?

no..xbox is for xbox ps3 is for ps3, they sell extra guitars @ walmart for 40$ for the xbox..extra ps3 guitars will be out soon.
