I have pressed the sync button on the console and the controller and then the green lights flash but the guitar won't work.I've took the regular controller out and tried it but the guitar doesn't work still. What can I do to get the guitar to work?
I had this same problem and I *think* this is how I resolved it. I think I had to press the sync button on the guitar first, and then when it was searching press the sync button on the 360. I know how you feel, I was getting frustrated myself and was focusing on the guitar... to find it was order of operations.
Good luck!
