How to change xbox 360 live membership from gold to silver?
xbox live 1 month membership card

I had a free trial of an xbox 360 live gold membership. Now, the trial ran out, but I still want to get on the gamertag because I have save files from my games on there. When I try to log-in it just tells me that it's not a valid xbox live membership. How do I change it from gold to silver so that I can play again?

Even as a silver account, you should still be able to log into Live as well as use the account for your game saves and all that.. You won't be able to play any games, though, so if you try going online through a game, it will fail. You should be able to log in just find from the Dashboard.

You can always upgrade your account from Silver to Gold at any time. Simply use a prepaid subscription card ($49.99 at stores) or add a credit card to your account and charge it that way (still $49.99/year).

What happens after the Xbox 360 gold membership expires?

I want to get rid of Xbox live so I don't get to download. I used my free gold membership card and it's gonna be expired soon. Do i have to pay after it's expired?

No you will just have silver which means you cant play online with other people and stuff like that.
If you want gold again you will have to get a card or use a credit card

If you have more than one person at home who plays the xbox 360 online, does that mean you need to buy gold membership for each user profile, or can you buy it once for all the users in your home?
I want to know this because I want to play Halo 3 with my cousins but I'm not sure if all 3 of them needs an account to play online on the same console... please help..

Just a few days ago, we were talking about Michael Pachter’s prediction that Microsoft would raise the price of Xbox LIVE Gold memberships to $100 “ in a couple years .” Working at blazing internet speeds, Kombo tracked down Microsoft spokesperson David Dennis during a sales call and asked about the speculation .

Seeming to stoke the fire of the debate, Dennis commented, “I don’t foresee a scenario where we’re going to double the price of LIVE anytime in the next couple months.”

We will keep an eye on anything further that comes down the pipe about this issue, as we do not want to take anything out of context. However, journalistic integrity aside, a couple months sure does outpace Pachter’s estimate of several years.
