Xbox 360 Gamepad

I would like to purchase an xbox 360 gamepad to use with various games on my computer and I would like to know whether you have to purchase any additional features such as an adapter or even a particular controller to use. As someone who doesn't personally own an xbox 360 I am not sure about what to buy if I want to use an xbox 360 gamepad with windows. Thank you

you need a Wireless Gaming Receiver if you're using a wireless controller.

Does anyone know of game that use a dual analog joysticks? Like Gymnast from www.walaber.com? Basically a game that's meant to be played with the xbox 360 gamepad.

Any game that supports gamepads with multipule axis.

I know that Pinnacle Game Profiler is pretty good but it only works for 30 days. Are there any programs out there that do the same thing? I want the green light to come on on the controller so if there aren't any other programs then how could I make the light come on. Also, does anyone have a game list of PC games that work with this controller?

Pinnacle Game Profiler is the only one with the trial version. Sorry. the others are not worth the money, in my opinion.

hi,i have installed the microsot xbox 360 gamepad drivers for windows and used various programs including gamepad controllers option in control panel.whenever i play a game like unrealtournament 1999 and 2004 and enable joystick.Because when you gently touch the analog sticks they gently move.but then they dont center exactly.so there out of place by 0.1 of a mm. but in a game it means that the camera always moves one or the other way and when i try and move it it either goes faster or slower because it cant center properly.i want to know how to fix this and in these game the upwards axis (z) does not work on the right analog stick.this works on the xbox360 though.

yes,i thought that.i used a program called pinnacle profiler or something that automatically sets it up for games.it said ut1999 and after i had the problems i lowered the sensitivity it made no difference

The problem could be sensitivity. The neutral position of the analogue sticks naturally have a little bit of give in them, and this could be making moves that you dont want.

Try setting your sensitivity a bit lower and see what happens.

Sorry I cant help with the right analogue stick problem. That definetly sounds like software though.

Yes. You will just need a controller mapping program like XPadder to map the keys onto the buttons.
