Xbox 360 Fan

My Xbox 360 keeps overheating about every 5-10 minutes. I felt back behind it while it was running and the fan was barely blowing at all and my system was very quite. Is there any fix for this? I've taken my 360 apart, so the warranty is already voided.

I've also looked into the Talismoon Whisper fans, but I'm still kinda skeptical, since I've heard they're not really that good.

You could try a Nyko cooling fan since you already void your warranty. It's about $30 and will work well. Microsoft discourages the use of after-market products and, in some instances, will void the warranty if they see obvious use.

Yeah, Nyko isnt made by Microsoft, It fucked up mine too.

Look for one that says Microsoft. If It doesn't say Microsoft, then Its most likely going to fuck up your system.

I went to my friends house and I noticed that his xbox 360 is almost silent while mine has a very loud fan continuously running. My is newer than his and about 2 years old. It has always sounded like this. Should I have this checked out?

I think mine's loud also. Maybe the newer one's were made differently to try to help prevent the rrod mainly from the cooling system? Don't have it checked out until you get the rrod.

i really need help deciding one which xbox 360 games i should get, im very stuck,
i am a very big fan of halo 3, assisains creed and others and cod4 and cod5, anybody want to answer my question i would be very thankful
i like to play online so it would be good if lots of players play it online

My favorites in order

1. Halo 3
2. COD4
3. Madden 09
4. Tiger Woods 09
5. Gears of War

I assume if you do not have GOW you do not like it? If you have not tried it, I would say get GOW2 just came out. In my opinion it is nowhere near as good as halo and call of duty, but it's next best I think. Otherwise, COD5 for sure....not question.

i have an xbox 360 cooling fan and i think something is wrong...... everytime i plug in the cooling fan to the xbox 360 and turn it on it gives me the red circle.... after i take the cooling fan out the xbox works normally giving me a green circle..... wat should i do... should i risk trying it again......

It means the inner processor in your xbox 360 is dieing. Do the warranty thing if you still have it.
