Xbox 360 Faceplate

Well, I got the red ring of death, and I changed the faceplate to a Gears of War faceplate. Will they still accept my warranty or will they void it and just send back my old xbox 360? And, Will I get my faceplate back or will they replace it?

the faceplate change is a Microsoft-approved customization, and will never void your warranty. however, they may request that you remove your faceplate, or put the old one back on. Check with them before you send it in.

The directions say,

DO NOT SEND ANY ACCESORIES WITH THE CONSOLE including the hard drive, custom face plates, controllers, games etc.

Yes leave the original faceplate on. If you had a custom one on, i'd take it off and replace the original. Also, make sure you do not send your Hard Drive.

Im going to send my xbox 360 for repair i have the label and everything
but they do say you have to take of the faceplate BUT in the instructions i see that the faceplate is custom so even if your faceplate is normal xbox 360 faceplate that was never taken of do you still have to take it of and keep it before you send it in for repairs?

One of the memory slot flaps is out of place and i want to put it back but i cant quite get it with the faceplate on.

I've recently been interested in faceplates, but it seems they can only be found in GameStop or random stores online, now. Are there any other regular, easy-to-get-to stores or trusty online ones that actually sell them still?

Just about any major electronic store sells them, such as:
Best Buy
EB Games
Gamestop
FYE
etc.

Although I would recommend being careful when pulling off the old faceplate, as you could break off the slots the the plate snaps on to, so remember when pulling the old when off start by slightly getting one side off, and then the other.
