Xbox 360 Core

I am looking to buy a xbox 360 core console, which retails for 200 currently. I am just wondering if anyone knows if this price is going to drop in the near future.

The price will drop, it's just a matter of when and by how much.

There's been news that PS3's price will drop in order to beat the Nintendo Wii's sales.
With the Wii staying at the same price I think Nintendo will drop there price for a little while on both the Wii and DS Lite/DSi.

I think the Core model will drop to 179.99 in about 5 months to a year.

I bought a used xbox 360 core from Gamestop. It doesn't have a hard drive but I do have the MAX Memory Card using the 2GB Micro SD that was included in the package.

Wait, they gave you a flash card and told you it would work on the 360? Are you sure you got that from Gamestop? The only memory cards and hard drives that will work with the 360 are the official Microsoft ones. Modifying it to use the MAX reader will mess up your saves and cause problems like what you're experiencing. The memory cards are only in sizes of 64, 256, and 512 MB. The 360 cannot read flash cards and USB drives can only be used to stream media like movies and music to your console. Take it back to Gamestop and tell them flash cards don't work on the 360 ever. They are supposed to give you a 360 memory card that looks like this

I'm thinking about buying an XBOX 360. I don't play video games that much so I only want the core sytem. How big is the hard drive?

0, doesn't come with one. Just ante up the 100 bucks more that you would spend on a hard drive for the Core and buy the "Pro" system. If you do that it is 20 GB.
P.S. the Memory Cards don't hold shit

P.S.S. another alternative is buying a portable Hard Drive and use that to store stuff on. They are a bit cheaper

I haven't decided what to buy yet, my Xbox360 has that three red lights crap, I don't know if I want a PS3, Xbox 360 Elite or just the core and use all the stuff I have. Is there another system coming out anytime soon?

Buy the elite they fixed the overheating problem so u wont have to worry about the red lights anymore and if u have a memory unit u can just transfer anything you have on your original hard drive
