Xbox 360 Controller For Windows

I recently bought a xbox controller for the PC, but don't know what PC games it works with, or how to use it.

Any game with changable controls will work with it. ( I own one and know this for a fact.)
How to use:
1.Go to options.
2.Select "Controls"
3.Click on the action you want to set.
4.Press the button you want the action to be set as.
5. You have set an action.
(Repeat steps 3 and 4 for every action you want to program)

i just bought an Xbox controller made for windows thinking it would work for call of duty modern warfare 2 but i cant find a way to make it work? dose anyone know how?

I tried this about a month ago and I couldn't get it to work either. Had to use the mouse and keyboard. There are 3rd party programs out there that may let you do it but they are usually very glitchy. Head to google and do a search on it.

I have a computer in my room thats a getting old and it runs of the Millennium edition of Windows. I want to play games on it with the 360 controller but the software i downloaded for it only works with XP and above. Is there anything out there that i could use or am i stuck with the keyboard?

I am looking for a 360 controller for my pc and noticed that there are two different controllers it seems, the regular old wired one for 360 and on classified as one for windows that's also wired. Is it the same thing? Thanks.

Yep. They're all 360 controllers. Some are just listed as for Windows to help shoppers. All 360 controllers will work on your PC and vice versa. The wireless Windows ones come with the gaming receiver, but any wireless 360 controller will work on your PC with the receiver. The wired ones don't need the receiver and will also work on both PC and 360.

Yes you can, you just need to download the drivers off the microsoft website.
