Xbox 360 Comparison

ok so my xbox 360 pro broke caz it got the red ring that means a hardware failure and i want to get an arcade instead of sending it to microsoft but i dont no if the arcade is good. Can someone give me a comparison between the arcade and the pro PS> i also want to no if i put a hardrive on the arcade and hooked up the hdmi cable if it would be the same thing as pro.

The two versions of the consoles are the same. They do the same things and perform the same. The only difference is that the Arcade doesn't come with a headset, Ethernet cable, hard drive, and HD cables that the Pro has but if you keep all that stuff from your other console you're fine. I suggest that if you're going to buy the Arcade, keep the wires and stuff from your Pro if you want the HD ones and send it into Microsoft. That way, you can sell or give your fixed pro to someone else once you get it back and can keep the hard drive and stuff from it to put on your Arcade.

I need more informations and more details!!! It mustn't be about better games, accessories, hd-drives or blue-ray drives, and online. I need to know what kind of differences between Xbox 360 and PS3's performance on FULL details!!!

if any thing xbox 360 is the better console and for 200 dollars less then the PS3 its worth it but anyway the xbox 360 has the bigger verity of games since its been out for a year the PS3 not as many and not as many good games not only that the xbox 360 has the better online game experience hardly anybody plays PS3 only just look at what happened with the PS2 that had online gaming did you hear about that? you can also download oldschool arcade games on the 360 and you can download game demos aswell so you can preveiw a game before you buy it just to see if you like it or not thats why the xbox 360 is better then the PS3

i always used to believe xbox 360 was better than the ps3 since most people i knew bought xbox 360
but as i researched a bit ,i found out the following facts

although the ps3 didnt have many titles in the begining but now it has almost equilavelent to an xbox 360

ps3 always had better raw power and in the future advance gaming would not be possible in a xbox 360 in comparison to a ps3

ps3 has online gaming free and the community is also getting better

ps3 has very less problems

ps3 is less noisier than an xbox 360

ps3 has a blue ray

ps3 has more comfortble controller and also keyboards or something like that can be attached to a ps3

we can install windows on ps3 ,i don't know if its legal or not

although xbox 360 has great exclusives like halo 3 and gears of war 2 but so does ps3

but an xbox 360 has better acessories if u r willing to buy them

an xbox 360 at the moment has better online community than a ps3

microsoft have better marketing than sony although this point is irrelevant

xbox 360 is cheap

do u agree and which is a better buy

I too did the research when buying my 7th gen consoel ( its quite a expenisve purchase for astudent) and decdied Ps3 was creme of the crop.

I like how hte 360 owners that have replied have said 360 is getting Blu-Ray, its not MS have constantly put out any rumours, one main reason is Blu-Ray is a Sony technolgy, Ie the company that also makes the PS3. Toshiba made HD-DVD so it was console netral.

other points:

-After gettign all the accesoris to bring 360 upto what Ps3 coames wiht in the box is £335 comapred to £300 for a Ps3, and thats for the 360 having less storage, an obsolete HD palyer and its £50 extra ontop of htat each year.
-PSN soons gets Home whihc lets you interacxt in a 3d envorimnt not just using hte IM or voice chat. it will also let you join gmaes with people, watch videos with firends and have your own room.
-There are more 360's in the wild than Ps3's, however this figure may be counting in RROD replcamnets.
But currnetly Ps3 is ourtselling 360 on week by week slaes buy many thousnads a week.
Ps3 gmaes have a higher "Attach Rate" ( A higher percentage of owners will buy gmaes) ie more Ps3 owners buy gmaes for their console.
-Blu-Ray allows for gmaes hte 360 just cnat play becuase fo the size of DVD -
Rage is now a few levels less becuase 360 jsut cnat cope with the space, whihc menas the 360 hardware is making gmaes worse for PC and Ps3 owners

LBP is 40GB, so that is PS3 only ( and uses mroe than the 3 cores 360 has)
MGS4 wanted to be more than 50GB so will never be on 360. -
Hideo Kojima: [Sighs] Well, it's a real difficult question to answer right now... it's difficult to recreate the same MGS4 on the current 360 because of the size of the media and things like that. Also, technology-wise, the 360 is very different to the PS3, and because MGS4 was optimised for the PS3 it is probably not possible.
FFXIII will be on multiple discs, and compressed at that, however i persoanlly have a bet with my mate S-E will pull the plug on making hte 360 port. look at teh stock owners of S-E to see why, and read their intervies carefully.

Media wise the Ps3 is defeintly superior, apart form the Blu-Ray it cna also upscale on all models, 360 has only recently introduced that abilty with the HDMI equiped ones.
and browsing stored media is alot easier than on the Blades interface, though the NXE interface update in autumn may change that.

The price cut does make the 360 more intresting propostion, and I am eyieng one up ( I HAVE to paly Fable2 with my mates),
I would say the current prices of hte console does represent the Value of the console, It was only £50 less than PS3 before(meaning my above price comparison origianly was quite a bit higher) whihc £50 extra to get Blu-Ray bundled in and a 20GB larger HDD is great offer, but now its £100 less the lack of Blu-Ray in a 360 isnt too bad. actually the Wii comapred to the new Arcade price looksreally expensive now.

Retarded things 360 fanboys will say:
"Ps3 is too expensive", but "XBL is better becuase you have to pay for it, and you get what you pay for". Hmm do i see a contradiction.

Yep, I pretty much agree with everything you're saying. I went with an Xbox 360, but that was mostly due to the cheap factor. The PS3 didn't really have any good games, at the time, either. However, I have been seeing some titles for the PS3 that look pretty tempting. You are also correct, about the PS3 having more power. Although, they haven't seemed to show the PS3's true potential, I'm sure it's capable of a bit more than the 360 can pull off. I also haven't had any problems with my 3rd 360 (first two were used) and I've had it for about 9 months, but generally, they are much less reliable than a PS3. Like you said, Xbox Live is definitely better than PSN, but at the same time, it costs a fee. Really, it's your own personal preference that'll decide what you're going to buy.

do you think that you can get addicted to playing games on an xbox like you get an addiction to smoking ciggarettes. once you get good at playing (or get used to smoking) you pretty much cant stop? hope you catch my drift.

i know what you mean. they are similar in the sense that they are addicting, but not because smoking is a physical dependancy where video games are not. but they are incredibly addicing, you just need to space out your time and still do other things with life ;)
