I choose a freind I am not givin any option to delete. Anyone know how to?

Press the X on the middle of your controller. Go to friends, choose the friend you want to delete. Go all the way down (or press up to get all the way down). There it says "remove friend".

i was on xbox live either yesterday or the day before and it worked perfectly but when i try and sign in this Morning to play it says cant connect.so i ran the diagnostic test and it says something about MTU. it has to be around 1300 but mine is 1500.can somebody help me please.thank you very much

We hope you didn't have any big Xbox Live plans on Monday, September 29, because Microsoft's Larry "Major Nelson" Hryb has posted a notice that the online service will be down for maintenance, potentially lasting all day.
"On Monday, 9/29/2008 from 12:01 AM PST for up to 24 hours, Xbox Live will be offline for maintenance," Hryb writes. In addition to Xbox Live being down, you won't be able to access the "My Xbox" section of Xbox.com, and the Xbox forums will be in read-only mode. Do note that this downtime will not result in any new features once Live goes back up -- it's only intended to prepare the service for the big Xbox Dashboard re-launch set to happen later this year, that'll add new navigation features and as well the Microsoft Avatars.

And while Xbox Live is down, here are a few friendly recommendations on how to spend your day: go for a jog; learn a new hobby (like, say, whittling); bake delicious cookies; or, you know, just play all the games you were planning on playing anyway, just offline.

I purchased a used xbox 360 yesterday and was surprised they offered me a free 30 day trial after signing up. Is this because my gamer tag is new or the old owner never signed up?

Is it one for every new name or just 1 per unit?

It's most likely that the previous owner never used it. You can get up to 3 months of XBL gold for free. All you need to do is make 1 gamertag, and when it expires, make another one, and when that expires, make a 3rd one. After the 3rd one, you'll have to buy the membership.

i cant get avatars and the menu or dashboard looks crap how can i get avatars and a good menu ?

If your connected to xbox live it should update for you but if not then buy a new game that has been released from about about May 2009 and the update should be on the disk.

I want to buy Xbox 360, but I've heard it has many problems. If i return a functioning Xbox 360 to Walmart within 30 days of purchase (if I open it and use it), will they charge me a restocking fee?

Walmart doesn't charge a restocking fee EVER but they will only take it back if it is within 30 days....after that they will tell you to send it back to Xbox.
