Is there any difference between Playstation s and Xbox 2?
If yes, what are they?

the ps3 is supposedly more powerful, but has nothing in the way of good games yet. also its more likely to break as with the ps2. the xbox 360 has some sweet games, ie dead rising. the wii, however is the king of games, and needs to be played.

I have tried to connect 2 xbox 360 consoles through my router to get on Xbox live, but only one of them can get on. The other one has its DNS test fail on me even though the IP test passes. Can anyone help me figure out what is happening?

In terms of using a router, this is absolutely possible. Make SURE that you are using a router indeed though. Routers and switches physically can look almost identical but the underlying layers in the operations that each perform are much different. A router should be transparent to your ISP and if you have NAT (Network Address Translation) turned on, it should issue 192.168.x.x IP addresses to your Xbox 360. Now if you have NAT turned off, both Xbox 360s will attempt to go to your ISP and register an IP address over the one connection. This will deny one or the other of a connection unless your ISP has issued you more than one IP address which usually costs about 5 dollars extra a month. If you really have a router, double check to make sure NAT is turned - along with DHCP on and then setup your Xbox 360s to automatically obtain an IP address from your router. Usually the routers should be configured to do this out of the box like linksys or netgear. Also double check your cables to make sure that you have your internet connection from your modem to the router plugged into the WAN port and that the Xbox 360s are on one of the LAN or Local Area Network ports. I currently have 2 Xbox 360s, 2 PCs and a laptop connected to the internet simultaneously through my router with no problems. Just think of your router as a splitter. Make sure that on the Xbox 360 that you are failing at the DNS level that the setting for your DNS server are identical to that of the console that is able to connect. i heard you can but i wanna know what games you can do it with BUT without having 2 xbox live accounts..

Most games allow you to play up to 2 or more players online.

It just depends on the game.

Just have your friend sign onto multiple guest accounts and see if the game allows it.

COD does not allow more than 1 player online.
Halo on the other hand does allow you to play up to 4 people with 3 Guest Accounts one being primarily a Gold Account.

You can find out whether you can play online by just looking at the back of the Game Box.

It says Online Multiplayer 1, 1-2, 1-4, etc etc,.
Just look and it tells you how much people can play online on the same Xbox 360.

tried getting my x-box system link to work...
i have 2 tv's, 2 xbox's, 2 of everything

For some reason it is not working, saying it cant find a network connect and from what i have read, i only need the crossover cable.

I am using an ethernet cable strait frmo 1 xbox to the other.. and its not working

Just call microsoft when I had problems this I just called them up and they told me exactly what to do

I am having a get-together soon and we are going to have some fun with the good old halo 2 =] i have a modded xbox and they dont know about it but im wondering if i made the mods very unnoticable** is there anyway they would find out? As in are they able to use the mods also. It would be over system link and they would be on a different box. thanks =]

If your hardware is modded, no. Be careful though. Microsoft likes to bring down the ban hammer on modders.
