I like to play vocals on Rock Band 2 over Xbox Live...

Do other players actually hear me singing or do they just hear the master track?

They hear the vocals of the actual track, they do not hear you don't worry lol.

Is there a way to use the mic for Rock band 2 for the Xbox 360 without a controller? Like plugging it into a wireless guitar or something?

No, it is imperative that you use a controller.

I have heard that the graphics are a bit better, and there are currently more downloadable songs (although all the songs will eventually be added for Wii). Also, you can import songs from Rock Band into Rock Band 2 for Xbox 360 but not Wii. Is this correct? Also, can you get the bass guitar for Wii, too, or only XBOX 360?

The only difference is lowsedr quality graphics (which is expected), and some DLC isn't available for the wii version. At least not yet.

I basically want to buy the Rock Band 2 game (for 360) and a guitar , but I'm not really interested in the drum kit, or even the mike for the time being. I see there's a Wii package like this, but I have Xbox. Any ideas? I'm sure people on Ebay have a package like this for sale, but do they sell anything like this in stores?

yes. to keep it short. there is a guiter kit and a complete band kit
