Resident Evil Xbox

i Heard that the limited edition red resident evil xbox 360 will not get the red rings of death at all as in it is immune. is this true?

No, the RE Special Edition 360 isn't "immune" to the RRoD.. Like the other guy said, people who claim to be in the know crow about how the "new consoles" or the "Elites" are "immune" to RRoD'ing.. They're not.. ALL the 360 consoles have the same DNA.. Microsoft doesn't reserve better parts or manufacture the more expensive consoles any different than the others.. They all start out with the same core and the difference between them is limited to the hard-drive space, the paint job and the goodies packaged with them..

The only exception to that is I've heard the newer Arcades with Jasper chipsets are getting a 256mb internal flash-drive so NXE will run on them.. The older Pro's and Elites have a 16mb internal flash and NXE is resident in a reserved portion of the hard-drive.. I don't know if the newer Pro's, Elites, etc will eventually get the 256mb flash drive or not but thus far, they've only been found in the Arcades.. I'm sure they'll be phased in at some point though..

Anyway, I can tell you these RE Editions are much less likely to RRoD than the older 360's (pre-'07).. Especially, if they're including the Jasper chipsets in them.. But, no, they're not immune to RRoD'ing..

I dont know what to get for my birthday a resident evil xbox 360 or an ipod touch

xbox 360 of course.....you can do millions with an xbox which means not hours but DAYS of entertainment with....i have played call of duty 5 online for over 14 days 12 hours and an ipod touch just plays music while your on the move....same as an mp3 right? chances are its gonna break if you play football while wearing it like i did

I got 800 bucks, already paid for my books for college so the rest is for gas really and supplies. So id be wasting like 400 plus tax for the xbox. Anyone opinions or ideas?

You should definatly buy it if you think it's worth it.
it is a xbox Elite, and you'd have RE5 and still have 350 bucks to spend on gas and other things.

The new red xbox 360s are being produced with the new motherboard, new GPU, and the new CPU. It is suppossed to run cooler internally, and thus the red ring should not show up as much if at all. Here are some links for you to research more.

I have a Xbox 360 Pro system, 5 games, and a limited edition Halo 3 controller. I want to trade all that in for the limited edition resident evil 360 elite. How much would i get for all those things at gamestop?

I would say around $300-$400 (depending on whether its 20 or 60GB and which games) but if you put them on eBay you can easily expect $400+ (more than the resident evil console).
