Microsoft Xbox 360 Halo 3 Special Edition Console

i.e. Will Microsoft produce more of these consoles in the near future or will they stop and let this console become a potential collector's item?

I Suppose they will stop making them eventually, until everyone has got over halo 3, because to be honest i don't think the game is that great.

Okay, so I need to request a repair for my 360 (the ethernet port was fried due to a power surge), but I have a few questions: Should I call Microsoft support and request a repair directly, or is it easier to simply make the request through the Xbox service website? Is there any real difference between the two? I'm asking because I'd like to avoid having to call up Microsoft support (my last experience was horrible), but I'm unsure of the reliability of requests made through the website. Also, I have the Halo 3 special edition console, so is there anything important I should know beforehand? Any help is greatly appreciated.
If I request a repair through the website, will they still send me a box? Or will I have to take care of everything myself? Thanks.

might wanna call...i hated the internet service, at first i chose the internet cause i thought it would be easier but it took 3 weeks for the box to send my 360 in; by that time i already CALLED microsoft and I had the box in 1 business day
