Why do people hate on the PS3 despite all of these facts that I have observed?

I got a 360 Elite with one add-on only(Wi-Fi adapter). I could afford the bundle altogether plus the other add-ons are sort of an inconvenience to me. I got a 360 Elite because:

-black finish
-Fable 1 and 2(I really want to play TLC).
-a few Xbox games(excluding Halo)
-a likely, yet very unlikely KOTOR release.
-I wanted Ninja Gaiden II but PS3 is getting a much better port of it.
-arcade games.

The 360 had a lot of potential but it is almost gone because Microsoft was desperate to beat Sony and buy their gaming division so they could monopolize it and not let the user have the benefit of using generic accessories (more on it later). There are some benefits the 360 has over the PS3 and sometimes it is the other way around. What people don't realize in most cases is that Microsoft is trying to sell the 360 at $199 because anybody can afford it and then they charge top dollar for proprietary accessories. For example:

-Hard drive
-memory card
-Xbox 360 HDMI cable works the best with the 360.
-Wi-Fi adapter
-can't use external hard drive to backup data.
-Xbox Live camera.
-wired and wireless headset
-proprietary external power brick that can only be distributed by them
-Play and Charge kit is not miniUSB-to-USB

Here are a few dirty business practices that they use while trying to monopolize gaming:

-pay third-party developers lots of money to make games exclusive.
-overcharge
-Bribe the media to say bad things about their competitor.

The list goes on and on and that is how most businesses work.

Microsoft should realize that if they can make games of their own, and they have substance to most people, they would sell more.

Now on hardware...

-They had shrunken the size of the system to cut cost and add cheap hardware.
-The power supply is external. WHAT!
-The reason that the system scratches disc is because they did not put the mechanism to protect the disc in order to cut costs.
-Can the red ring of death be fixed despite the the hardware being crammed not to allow proper ventilation? How can they let the GPU breath if the optical drive is above it?
-GPU may be more powerful but not enough processing power to incorporate more and lack of space on DVD doesn't allow more detail.

It is funny how people still buy the system despite not looking at the value of add-ons that will prove to be beneficial in the future. Almost half of them have been blindly loyal to Microsoft for what they have done and in some way I commend them. I also have a feeling that people can afford a PS3 but they use that extra money for things like booze, other material possessions, and they still complain that PS3 is expensive despite the money that most of the people earn in a year is more than enough to buy a PS3.

I got my PS3 first and people are saying this:

-"Dude, sell your PS3 and keep your 360."
-"PS3 is for losers so that makes you a loser."
-"PS3 has copied everything on the 360."
-"It is a waste of money."

Well, on the contrary...

-allows use of generic accessories such as USB cables, USB 2.0 cameras, any Bluetooth or USB headset, support for other Bluetooth devices, supports USB drive for Infrared, any HDMI cable works well, can use any AC power cord, supports generic flash cards formats SecureDigital, Memory Stick, Microdrive, and CompactFlash.
-Wi-Fi built-in
-great first-party lineup such as Killzone 2, Uncharted, Ratchet and Clank, LittleBigPlanet, God of War III, Resistance, and many others.
-third-party games include MGS 4 and Final Fantasy Versus XIII.
-controllers use eco-friendly, recyclable, longer-lasting Lithium ion battery.
-it can also be charged through the system.
-PSN is free but still a kilometer to 2 km away.
-GPU may not be as powerful but the Cell makes up for all of those losses. Developers will get used to it.
-Blu-Ray Disc which many people say is not needed but high-definition video and audio will not fit in too well with a dual-layer DVD.
-technology is moving fast.
-many other things...

I'm not trying to bluff but how do people get this impression that the 360 can do anything the PS3 is capable of?

You hit the xbox pretty good. But what about the flaws of the PS3?

I have a xbox 360 and basically bought all of the accesories and I feel it's stll worth it because the gamers on the 360 are more competitive on games such as Halo 3 and the Rock Band and Guitar Hero games.

Although I have to pay an annual fee of $50.00 per year for xbox live, I still think it's worth it because the games are much better as of right now. Besides, more people have the 360.

I already have a Blu-Ray anyways on all three of my HDTV's. Money's not an issue for us. My dad makes loads of money.
