Karaoke Revolution 3 Xbox

I want to get Karaoke Revolution (or some other similar game) for my sister because I thought it would be a fun game for her since she likes to sing. However, she doesn't have a a playstation (1, 2, or 3) or xbox, wii.. or anything. All she has is her dvd player... is there a karaoke type game that will play on a dvd player?

i.e. do i need just a microphone and tv, if so what microphone will work
do i need a ps2 or xbox(so on, i have almost all devices like so) or a dvd player
do i need a complete karaoke system?

3) Absolutely, as it's a combination of the two, with the addition of a bass guitar, drums, and the ability to have everyone playing at once. Besides, it's by the same developer - Harmonix.
4) The stand-alone game should be around $60. But if you want to buy the bundle (game, guitar, microphone, drumset), it'll run you about $199.
