I can get the reg. battery pack off... I just can't get into the part where the batt's are.
Is it possible that this isn't a double A pack and its a rechargeable pack. Normally if you have the battery pack off you will see 2 double A batteries it is not sealed. I think you have a rechargeable battery pack and on the other end of the back away from the push button tab you have like gold contacts? If you do then this is a rechargeable batter pack. Good Luck

you dont need a special screwdriver to open the Xbox 360 Controller. just a small flat head. there are seven screws.
six that you can see, and one in the battery pack bay.

my xbox is out of warranty and I was wondering if anyone knew any tips on how to fix it. it plays movies perfectly but it won't read games. do I need to clean the lens? if so would a wii lens cleaner work. if it's a more serious problem would I have to replace the disk drive?
You might need to use a disc tray cleaner. Luk on amazon 4 them. I wudn't use a wii lens cleaner it might ruin the console,

Try prying on it near where the cable goes in with a flat screwdriver. Question: why would you need to take it apart? Hope this helps. :)
