I have questions for each game, whoever answers the most questions fully gets best answer. ok, here goes:
Bioshock: I know it is supposedly an amazing game, but is it too linear? as in does it give you freedom in the game or are you coaxed along through the game by it. Basically, does the game hold your hand all the way through, or do you have freedom?
Mass Effect: Hearing it is a great RPG, but does it get boring with all the talking and lack of action/shooting, or is there a good balance between the two?
Far Cry 2: Hearing it is repetitive, did you like the game overall? Is it repetitive as in Assassins Creed Repetitive (every mission: climb a tower, kill this guy, report back to base)??
Which game of the 3 are best? Thanks for the help
Bioshock: I feel that Bioshock is a mostly linear, but you still get to make choices throughout, like saving or killing little sisters, and which plasmids you want to buy. Other than that you are just following the story, and yes it does hold your hand a lot.
Mass Effect: When I played Mass Effect, I did not grow bored, but I enjoy following the story. There is a lot of talking, but I feel that there is a good balance between fighting and talking, because on my first playthrough i was able to get the achievements for the 150 kills with each weapon type. There is a lot of talking, but it is broken up with fun combat.
Far Cry 2: I enjoyed Far Cry 2, but yes, it does get repetitive, mostly if you are doing radio tower missions or unlocking weapons. If you focus on the story (which I didn't, i obsess with completing as much as possible, then you shouldn't get bored, but if you want to do everything you could get sick of it and have to walk away for a while (I did).
I would say that Mass Effect is my favorite because it has a long, engaging story where you have choices in what you do, and the fighting stays fun throughout, and it has replay value because of the effects of your choices, not like Bioshock or Far Cry 2, which are pretty linear.

What type of game is it? RPG? FPS?
Do you have to upgrade your player (e.g higher attack/gun skill etc) like fable 2
Would I like it If i like call of duty, rainbow 6 vegas
Bioshock is a FPS. Yes, you can upgrade your weapons and plasmids (plasmids are powers that hurt enemies similar to the Force in Star Wars since you can pick up and throw thing or shoot fire at enemies). You can upgrade other special abilities relating to the character but can not actually customize the character itself. Bioshock is a FPS but, is different from the shooters you mentioned since the weapons are more stylized to be from the mid-1900's not present-day warfare. The enemies you encounter are usually quite bizarre and some don't even use guns thus, the combat situations aren't as similar to Call of Duty. The game also has a creepy, haunting atmosphere and overall Bioshock seems a bit more towards the Resident Evil side yet, still has great FPS controls. The force-like plasmids add on a new perspective to the FPS gameplay seeing that you can chose to not even use a gun at all due to the plasmids' various abilities. Overall: if you like CoD and Vegas' FPS gameplay yet, don't mind fighting psychopaths in a Resident Evil like setting, definately give Bioshock a try!!!
EDIT: By the way "HELP!!" isnt't even talking about the right game!

The game is set in 1912.
I have both consoles and after just upgrading my PS3 was thinking of getting some new games for it. However I have Bioshock on the XBox 360 already (AWSOME GAME!! YEAAAH!). Which console do you think I should get it on? Any idea of which console will have better graphics or more people getting the game?
i think you should get the 360 version since it was originally exclusive and it has a bigger fan base there. as for graphics chances are since its muiltiplatform the 360 will also have the advantage mostly with lighting which is one of the best parts of bioshocks graphics

Dead Space by a long way.
I've heard that a future Mass Effect title could appear on the PS3 because EA has bought Bioware. But I really don't care if it comes to the PS3 because Sony has Kingdom Hearts, Final Fantasy, White Knight Chronicles, and a bunch of other RPG's that are way better than Mass Effect.
Also, Bioshock could appear on the PS3 because it's not published by Microsoft game studios and I've heard rumors that Bioshock could appear on the PS3.
As far as Dead Rising, I could care less. That game is a sorry excuse for a game.
