i have searched ebay however it mainly shows the remote jackets/skins which i dont want - i want the actual remote. im from england by the way.

You really cannot get one cheaper than normal unless you buy used. But that can be sketchy on eBay, I would wait a couple of months for Intec to release their 3rd party one.

Nintendo wii, wireless remote controller question, buying an e-bay copy UK asking?

Wireless remote controller question.

Looking on e-bay the seem to be a lot of copy (non-official) remotes for sale at a lot lower price around £18.

As anybody purchased a non-official remote and do they work OK

I'm not sure what you mean when you say "non-official". The only Wii Remote controllers I've seen on eBay are official Nintendo products - it's just that the cheaper ones you refer to are from China, Singapore, or Hong Kong.

They are no different. It just means that you will have to wait longer for them to be posted to you. They are cheaper because you are buying from the source so they don't have tax etc added. I bought two of the "non-official" Wii Remotes from Hong Kong via eBay, and they are identical to my English-bought version. They took a few weeks to arrive but for the price I didn't mind.

To answer your last question: Yes, they work perfectly, and I highly recommend them.

Is The Nintendo Wii Wireless Remote Controller Covered Under Warranty???

I know the system itself is covered under the inital year of purchase under warranty my question is though is the Remote Controller covered under warranty... I would call Nintendo myself and ask but it's after hours and if it isn't I'm going to through it up on eBay now as is as I have already purchased a replacement but never hurts to have another if it is....

Thanks to all who answer

yes its under warranty
