Barnyard Wii

Ashamed to say it but I'm struggling with a kid's game - it's the part where you have to dig up the gopher traps at Izzy Springs. The metal detector shows that there's a trap to be dug up but I can't get at them. Is there a technique / specific order to this?
I can only get 4 out of the total traps :o(

I have the game but am like you not very good at it. Sorry cant help lol maybe its just us...

I have the game barnyard for wii. If youve played it, please help. I am trying to beat one of the missions in coyote season where Otis tells you to beat his milk squirting record. I went to the water tower and beat it, but when I went to Otis I failed. Are there any other places and, if so, can you tell me where they are. Thank you.
