How does the multiplayer work in Alien Syndrome for Wii?

For those of you who have this game, and have played offline multiplayer in Phantasy Star Online for the gamecube: How similar are they?
In different words: In Alien Syndrome (For Wii) can you take 4 different characters and put them into a multiplayer game, and then take them back to their respective games, keeping the progress you made in multiplayer?

Thank you.

Yes, you can do that. Not sure if that was their intent, but it can be done like that.

Alien Syndrome has a single save file with 12 save slots in it. Each save slot saves both the location in the game you are at (and what treasure chests and stuff have been opened) and the complete status of all characters involved. There is no way to import a character from one save file into another save file, but you can import characters from one save slot to another save slot on the same save file.

So unless you are talking about having multiple people who live in the same place playing like this, it's not practical the way it was in PSO.

Additionally, if you stop and think about this save structure for a bit, you'll realize they made it insanely easy to mass dupe equipment or, when applied to the rooms, farm items or base stats from chests/minigames.

How do I open the locked doors escaping from the first ship in Alien Syndrome (Wii)?

It keeps telling me activate two computers. I activate the two nearby to the left, but all it does it show me a cutscene back where I came from and doesn't say what to do. Any ideas?

I'm assuming you are referring to the level that is timed. I hated that place. If this is the level, the second computer is in the room left of the door. This is the room that seems fragment and you make your way around on small walkays. Good luck.

Is there a way to get better items out of the SCARAB in Alien Syndrome (Wii)?

The SCARAB has three rows of items that it can craft but none of them are any better than the stuff I have already. Also the unlocked weapons are not available to craft since I levelled up. I have tons of resource points though, so is it necessary to craft and recycle the rubbish to get better stuff available or is it better to build up a lot of RP's for later on in the game?

The SCARAB re-randomizes it's list periodically (I'm not sure what determines when it does this, though) on it's own. The quality of the items in its list is determined by the exact same system that determines the quality of the equipment that drops from killed enemies, so the only ways to improve it are to:
1) Play on a higher difficulty
2) Be in a stage farther along in the game
3) Be wearing equipment with the "Lucky" mod on it.

You are correct though that the stuff in the SCARAB tends to be not worth buying. You'll occasionally find something really good in there, but it's pretty rare. Particularly in a single-player game, you'll quickly rack up more RP than you could ever possibly use effectively.

Should I buy a copy of Alien Syndrome for Wii?

I'm not really a hardcore gamer, i just think Alien Syndrome looks cool. And also, it only costs $20. I'm not sure if that means its a dumb game to play or that its just not expensive.

This game sucks not at all. For only 20 buck you get a lot of fun.
