i was wondering since im getting an action replay gamecube/wii for christmas if it is compatible with wii games. and also is it compatible with a wii remote?
well there is no actual action replay for the wii. so go with the gamecube one. no the camecube one is not compatible with wii remote. though, if you want cheats for wii you can use homebrew apps. PM me for the details if you are interested.

The last Wii system update did a lot to help block the use of action replay disks and use of the homebrew channel. if you're still having problems then it maybe because your wii update to the latest system files. (v. 3.3)

The GC Action Replay will work for GC games, but not Wii games. The tentatively to be released Wii Action Replay will definitely work on Wii games, but since it's not out yet, it's unknown if it will work on GC games.
OK I have a friend who knows this guy who has a purple action replay that says its for wii assuming that it was the action replay for gamecube that corresponds for wii he said that his friend was beating him in mario kart wii online so I was wondering if that action replay works for wii GAMES or not?
Action Replay Gamecube disk will not work for Wii game, because AR for the Gamecube was made way before Wii. Also I don't think the Wii would even load the AR for Gamecube.

The Wii action replay is just the gamecube action replay that is intended to work on the wii console and nothing more. THERE IS NO action replay made for wii games.
If you want something similar to that of action replay for wii games, install the homebrew channel onto your wii and use the Gecko OS app for your "codes"
