A video for retailers describing how to install the PlayStation 2 network adapter. Brought to you by www.game-swag.net.
I've heard that PlayStation network is for the ps3 and psp. Is it not compatible with the PlayStation 2?
Nope. Sorry man!
I try connecting to my Playstation 2 network but it keeps saying that it is unable to connect to the network. My question is what does it mean that it is unable to connect to the network? Also, it used to let me get online but for some reason it isn't working. I have tried restarting the router, the modem, cleaning the network adapter, and also taking off the adapter and unplugging the playstation's wires and letting them sit but it doesn't work! Please give me advice for this problem.
Games (depending on the publisher) that connect online rely on servers supplied by the publisher and not Sony. That's why Sony do not charge for the service and the game publisher are allowed to (if they wish).
Most don't, but that also means they are providing the servers at their own cost and there may be reliability issues from games publisher to games publisher.

I need to know how to make a hybrid(wires and wireless)using
a PlayStation 2,a network adaptor,a wireless gaming adapter or wireless bridge,an ethernet cable,a DSL modem,2 computers,and a wireless router.DONT SKIP ANY DETAILS!!!
So if I understand correctly you want to share a DSL Internet Connection between 2 computers and a PS2.
Not very hard.
-Connect Phone Line to DSL Modem
-Connect Ethernet cable from DSL Modem to Wireless Routers WAN (Internet) Port
-Either Install Wireless Network Adapters in the Computers or connect ethernet cable from the routers ethernet ports to the computers ethernet ports
-Install the wireless bridge to your PS2
-Log into the wireless router from one of the computers by opening a browser window and typing in the IP address of the router, See your routers manual to find the default IP address.
-Configure your router to connect to your ISP. Since you are using DSL you will choose the PPPOE connection type and input the Username and Password you use to connect to your ISP.
-Also in the router configuration setup your wireless by choosing a SSID and radio channel. Dont turn on any wireless security until you have everything working.
You should have Internet on your computers and the PS2 now if everything is working.
I would like to do this because I have just got call of duty 5 and am trying to get a 1.0 kill death ratio, and would like a separate account that my Friend can play on so it doesen't affect my record as they are rubbishh!!
thanks
I have 1 PS3 and like 3 accounts. So yes its possible, just log out of your account, and create a new account.

If that is true then they have just priced themselves out of my custom. I’m sick of services like Virgin Media, Blockbuster, Sky BoxOffice etc over charging for rentals – if Sony would have priced themselves under the competition I would have used the service but it seems to me there’s a ‘gentlemen’s agreement’ to price these things the same. Postal services like LoveFilm offer MUCH better value for money when it comes to movie rentals.
How can they justify charging £3.49 when the US get movies for $1.99 (£1.19)!!! £2 or less and you would have made me a regular customer, but that is too much – some older movies can be bought on DVD for under a fiver now, why on earth would I want to rent an inferior compressed stream instead for nearly the same price?
