Playstation 2 Music

I've seen some ads for "games" that will let you create actual music using the Playstation 2 console. Which ones have you used, and which gives the best results?

MTV Music Generator 3 the remixer is pretty good. You can take different songs on the game and remix it the way you like. It be cool to have a burner on the PS2 to put your music on.

I was wondering how i could record the songs that play on TV, my PS2 or anything else into mp3s or other digital songs. How can i do so?

What equipment do i need? what is the process?

If you have a video card or some adapter that connects a camcorder to your computer then you can use that to route your ps 2 into your computer and if you have nero software you can save the music from the games as mp3's.

A lot of games on the original XBox supported it, but it's kind of fallen out of fashion.

If it's something that's important to you, I'd suggest buying a mixer that uses RCA ports (I bought one on clearance at Radio Shack a few years ago for like $80) and hooking the audio for all your game systems and a CD player through it, and have it feed the sound to the TV. That way, every game on every system supports custom soundtracks!

I love the music from driver 2, the old ps1 game. Ive been searching for ages but cant find the names to any of the songs. A playlist would be great :) thanks

try wikipedia
search for driver 2 and try find soundtrack there
usually at the bottom (not very bottom)

I have Ridge Racer V (PS2), its music is very excellent. I want to transfer its music into PC, and convert that music into MP3.
But...how? What software and hardware should I get?

The answer isn't so simple, as many times the game developers intentionally make it difficult to extract the files. Plus, the files could be in any number of different formats.

You need a program called an extractor, that can open or search the game's archive files for files that it can recognize.

An excellent place to start would be XentaxWiki, they maintain a fairly large database of different games.
