Gears Of War 2 Playstation 3

I just bought a Playstation 2, controller, and memory card. I had planned on going to Gamestop tomorrow and picking up Bully and Final Fantasy 12. But now I'm not so sure. I'm wondering if I should get my money back and wait for the Nintendo Wii and get the new Zelda game, wait all together until February and buy a Playstation 3, or get an Xbox 360 and Gears of War? But then again, I could always use my tax return money to buy a Playstation 3, Xbox 360 and/or Nintendo Wii at the same time if I were to decide to keep the PS2. My problem is, I lose interest in games that aren't compelling enough to hold my attention. So I'm afraid that I will get Final Fantasy 12 and/or Bully, and get bored with them and feel that I wasted the money I had spent on the new PS2, accessories, and games. What would anyone else do in my situation?
Decided to get a PS2, Final Fantasy 12, and Bully. I'm going to use my tax return to get a PS3 in February for my birthday. May sell some things to get a Nintendo Wii and Zelda:TW. Problem solved. Thanks everyone for your insight.

Honestly bro, I would wait on the PS3. Everyone who knows anything about the video game market knows that every system is the most when it first comes out around Dec. 25th and this is not by coincidence either. There are still great games for the PS2 and one the comes to mind is God of War. If you have not played that game I would strongly recommend it. Its an easy game to get into and master but it is still difficult at times. Also the 360 is still an awesome system that does the same thing as the PS3 besides play blu ray disks. Also another thing you might want to consider is the cost per game for the PS3. Since sony uses cell-architecture for their processors, game devolopers have to code their games for the cell architecture which is a lot more complicated than the x386 architecture that the Wii and the 360 uses thus the games are a lot cheaper. Look to spend about 80 bucks per game for the PS3. Also there will be no rumble feature on the PS3. I honestly wouln't buy a PS3 until its 200-250 bucks. I dont think its worth it unless you like exclusive games for sony like Final Fantasy. I hope this helps your decision.

PS3 has Metal Gear Solid 3, Little Big Planet, Resistance 2, Gran Turismo 5 Prologue

Which system should I get?

I have both systems and I have to be honest. I play my PS3 more then my 360. PS3 has free online play and I think a lot of excellent games. Uncharted: Drakes Fortune, Heavenly Sword, and not to mention God Of War 3 is coming out later this year. Definitely PS3

Haze is coming out in May for the PS3, Metal Gear Solid 4 is coming out in June, Socom Confrontation is coming out this Summer, LittleBigPlanet and Killzone 2 are coming in September, Resistance 2 and Motorstorm 2 are coming late 2008, there's going to be plenty of awesome PS3 games coming out and it's definanlty worth the trade.

And if you want a reliable console that has plenty of built in features, the PS3 is that console.

If you don't care about PS2 backwards compatibility, then go for the 40GB PS3, but if you want PS2 compatibility, get the 80GB PS3 Metal Gear Solid 4 bundle this June. For almost any hardcore gamer, the MGS4 PS3 bundle is almost too good to pass up.

I love my 360 but lately have been disappointed because of the lack of games. I own gears of war 2, rockband 2, etc. I have been looking though and have seen no games that interest me between now and Resident evil 5. I have never played playstation 3 but have heard many different things. I was just wondering if it is worth it to buy one. I would definitely buy Metal gear solid 4, and the resistance games (although i have heard gears of war is better). I would also buy god of war 3 when it came out. I am not interested in ps3 for online as i have xbox live. I owned a ps2 and loved it but always thought my xbox was better. What other ps3 exclusive games are coming out? Is it worth buying a ps3 for them? Thanks a lot in advance!

ps3 totally, and some cool games that the ps3 has that the 360 does not is ratchet & clank tools of destruction, need for speed undercover, naruto ninja storm, darksiders: wrath of war, killzone2, godfather2, but most of all it should be your choice, the one that you like the most.
