Gameshark For PS2

My gameshark is gameshark 2 and my PS3 is i think version 1.83 or something. I just want to use my gameshark to play my ps2 games. But when i start it says the title is not compatible with the PS3 system.

A PS3 is not compatible PS2 Gameshark.

Sorry i guess you have to buy a PS3 Gameshark.

I don't have a ps1 gameshark, but I have a "fat" ps2 and a new ps2 gameshark. The newest kind of ps2 gameshark. Can I put final fantasy tactics (for ps1) cheats on my ps2 gameshark and still use them?

in some way no and in some way yes

as you may have experienced you can play playstation 1 games on a playstation 2 well from what i know the playstation 1 cheats will still work on the playstation 2

Download cheats put them onto the usb and then plug it into your ps2 with gameshark.

It's easy really, all you have to do is pop in the Game Shark disc, then pick a game from the selection the Game Shark has (you can add more manually if you want) Then highlight the cheat codes you want Ex. Infinite health...Etc, then click start then take out the Game Shark and insert your game, there you go your cheats are activated =)

So I played the game and got to a boss I really can't beat. I have the PS2 version 4 gameshark but when I used the codes, when my game loaded it said corrupt data. Any ideas?

I tripled checked the codes.. I put them in right.

Some games have a hidden 'security' system to stop those kinds of cheating disks, such as Game Shark.

But, lucky for you, theres a simple way to bypass it:

Put the codes in again, now when you are starting the game, HOLD L1 + X. That should work. If it doesnt, then try moving your save data to another memory card and start again from there.
