I know that to run a burned game you have to have a modded system, but I want to know what program I have to use to copy the game to my hard drive. Then I need to know what buring program I need to burn the game. PS2 games are on dvd's right?
If I need a specific type of dvd media (dvd-r, dvd-rw, etc.) please state so.
If my computer has to have certain requirements other than the obvious (a dvd burner) please state so.

its really starting to tick me off that my ps2 games wont work. The people at best buy said it plays some ps2 games but it doesn't play any ps2 games. i know it plays ps1 games but that doesnt matter. Do i have to download something on to my ps3 so it can play ps2 games?
The people at Best Buy lied to you; your PS3 does not play PS2 games.
Whoever mentioned the PS2 system data is incorrect; there is no data that makes your PS3 play PS2 games. All it does is enable PS2 games requiring a hard drive to work on the PS3.

No currently shipping new PS3s will play PS2 games. The only PS3s that can play PS2 games are the launch models with 20 and 60 GB hard drives, or the early 80 GB models. The general rule of thumb is if the PS3 has 4 USB ports then you can play PS2 games; if it has only 2 ports then you can't.
The PS3 will only read PS2 memory cards if you buy a memory card adapter. The PS3 will let you create as many virtual memory cards as you want that are stored on the PS3's hard drive.

We don’t live in Brazil, but from what we hear, it’s not one of the most gamer-friendly places out there. Piracy runs rampant and whenever any kind of controversial game releases, citizens usually find their government won’t let ‘em play it. But, hey, things are kinda looking up!
