Fix Playstation 2

My playstation 2's cords are fine, but when I close the lid of it (even if it doesn't have a disc) and turn it on, the red light flashes to green, shuts off, and turns back to red. When the lid is open however (once again, even if there isn't a disc) it turns on to green and stays unless I shut it off. My playstation 2 is a black slim and it does this ONLY when the lid has been shut. So how can I fix it, and why is it doing this?

my playstation 2 controller's left analog stick has become loose and so it cant work properly. Did anybody have the same problem? Can it be fixed? I need help. I cant get stuck in the middle of God of War cuz my stick is broken! Help me!

I had a similar problem with my PS2 controller. My left analog stick was broken somewhere inside and the character on the screen would just run in circles for eternity. I tried opening the controller and cleaning it out and checking to see if all the connections were good, but even after I did this and put it back together, the problem persisted. I was forced to buy a new controller (though I chose not to give Sony more of my money for controllers that go faulty after a couple of years of work, so I went with a cheaper MadCatz controller).

My laser is f***ed up and I don't want to take it apart and I also want to get it ready for my trip to Mexico and I want to fix it right away. What do I do?

You have to open it up to fix it unless you want to give it to a professional and they will charge you a respective amount to get that laser fixed!

After it loads it reads "disc error" . What can i do to fix this?

Try a "DiscWasher" - a very cool tool that fixes the surface of CD's, DVDs, etc. You'll love this. Other than that, your disc would be corrupted, which I doubt.
