burning baldurs gate (1st on ps2) from an image file I rip using dvd decrypter it don't work any ideas? patch maybe?
If your PS2 is not modiefied to play burned copies, then there is no way to get this to play. There is a special copy protection area on original discs, that is being stamped in the factory, and can't be copied by normal burners.
If the PS2 doesn't read this protection area, it won't start.

I am looking for xbox/ps2, 2 player games that are the same style as baldurs gate and dark alliance, or champions of norath. Does anyone know of any?
You can try out Diablo but it's not exactly the same. Also Never Winter Nights is pretty much as close as you can get to Baldurs Gate.
If you are looking for a 2 player game then I am thinking you are out of luck. These games are usually only single player.
