Tekken Online was recently updated and now it does have practice mode.
It's so lame that you have to buy the online version just to get the update!

You probably downloaded the non-online version of it for $19.99. To get the online version, just look around the Playstation store for the $10.00 add on that will let you play online.

I heard that you can some how access the japan store and download it from there but i dont know how.
you have to pay for that service, I think. check the tekken official website at www.tekken-official.jp
But I'd rather wait for the US version to come because they might add some features made specially for the US release. It should be around 15 to 20 bucks to download. The Japan version was 800 MB.
I always thought that Tk5:DR for the PS3 doesn't have Story Mode. It has an arcade mode and 2-player mode... but none of the mini games common in many Tekken home console ports.
I'll admit I don't have this game, but I've read more than once of many hard core Tekken fans and game reviewers criticize Namco-Bandai for not including Story Mode (along with a few other features that were present in past games like Tekken Dark Resurrection for the PSP).

Can I buy this at Stores like Gamestop or Do I have to download the game from the PSN Store?
And How is the game when compared to it's predecessor Tekken 5?
I am finally getting a PS3 even though I still prefer my 360 over PS3 any day but I need my Tekken Fix till the Tekken 6 releases on the 360.
You can buy Tk5DR on PSP at the store, but I believe that the PS3 version is a download.
For actual fighting game-play, it is basically the same... the game does have a few new upgrades; like the ranking system and saving your statistics though (see the Wikipedia link in the source below for more details).
I don't mean to tell you what to do, but I'd probably stick with your Xbox360 and pick up a cheap used PS2 to play Tk5 instead of spending loads of money on a PS3 just to play Tk5DR. If you'll still buy the PS3, then I recommend to buy the PS3 version of Tk6 (when it comes out next year *hopefully*)... Tk6 was developed for the arcade based on the PS3 platform, so you're probably better off buying that than getting a Xbox360-ported version.
Ask Santa for a plane ticket to come to Japan! I can introduce you to a few of my teammates and play Tk6: Bloodline Rebellion since it was released this morning in the game centers!

The Game is Based on The Orginal Arcade Machine.....Not the PSP Version..
Ofcourse that means a lot......the Arcade version is graphically superior than the Ported-Down PSP version.[although its still spectacular]
Its seems that The PS3 is turning Out to Be an Even Better Investment Than The Great PS2......with the Excellent GTHD Demo.....and Now Tekken 5
P.S: [Off-Topic]....The World is Busy with Impressions of the Magnificent GTHD demo......And [Gamespot.com] havent even Posted a [Hint] on this demo....or even if there was a demo.....talk about BiASS
