I've heard that Singstar microphones (PS2 or PS3) work on the Wii with other games (is that true by the way?), and that GHWT on Wii will work with any USB microphone so I'm presuming it will be OK but can anyone say for sure please? Thanks.

Although the user base for SingStar isn’t as huge as Guitar Hero or Rockband, it still has a large following of karaoke fans. Sony recently unveiled a PS3 application which offers a great deal of social networking capabilities, titled SingStar Viewer, the app allows users to browse and purchase songs from the SingStore, as well as view and vote on videos, photos and profiles uploaded by members of the MySingStarOnline community. This impressive functionality is totally free, and accessible even when the SingStar disc is absent from the PS3’s drive as the app appears under the Games folder of the XMB. There is no release date yet and to which regions it will be landing first, but I have a feeling it will be early next year because Sony suggested you “check the PlayStation Store over the up coming weeks.” Check out the video below to see a little bit of it in action.
