i am thinking of getting singstar 2 on the ps3, but if i do will all the songs i have bought on singstar 1 on the ps3 be lost? does singstar 2 recognised them in the memory and add them to the play list
No, Iff you bought songs off the marketplace on PS2 live or somthing...
It will be in your old System.

I have just mistakenly bought two PS3 singstar mics (and adaptor) on ebay, I needed PS2 ones. I have been told that the mics for singstar 2 and 3 are the same so they will work no problem as long as I have PS2 singstar games. Can anyone confirm if this is true? Thanks

I have ps2 microphones and adaptor and ps3 microphones and adaptor connected to my ps3.
I would recommend the wireless (official sony) for your ps2.

yeh they use the the receiver plugs into the usb ports so it will work on both ps2 and ps3 no difference
Hello, I really want to buy the Disney Singstar game for my PS3 but it is only available on the PS2. I already have Singstar Vol 2, but my todller daughter only likes singing the Paul McCartney Frog song and it's driving me crazy!

Sony reveals the SingStar Viewer News | PS3 | Eurogamer
Sony's unveiled a new SingStar Viewer application that lets anyone browse the SingStore and MySingStarOnline community, the point being that you will not need a SingStar disc to do so.
Sony no doubt hopes buyers ignorant to SingStar's charms will be won over as they watch amateur singers belt out Bonnie Tyler's "Total Eclipse of the Heart" with their friends.
The SingStar Viewer, once installed, will live under the Games menu on the XMB.
