New PS3 Controller

Its a brand new Dualshock 3 controller and it wont charge. When i plug it in to the PS3 it works just fine. I have another controller that charges on the same USB cord. A message comes up which says push PS button and I do but it doesnt do anything except turn on the controller. When I unplug it from the PS3 it just dies because it doesnt want to charge and i left it plugged in all night.

under your controller, near the top, there is a little button that you can push with a tooth pic, or something that small. that is the reset button on your controller. if it doesn't wanna sync up after that, take the controller back, it probably has a busted battery if it won't hold a charge.

Hey. Getting a PS3 on the 5th or 6th of Dec. Should i get the actual controller or just the faceplate? Why or why not? I really want my controller to be personal with MW2 designs.

Faceplate because let's face it, what can Mad Catz screw up with that over long term reliability, every single product I've ever owned from them has failed, 2 controllers, 2 memory cards and a steering wheel. I really doubt their new controller is going to last that long compared to how durable and reliable official Sony controllers are, especially with their past track record.

I stepped and broke my PS3 controller's shell.

Possible look on ebay for controllers that buttons no longer work or something along the lines of that but has a good shell. That is probably your cheapest bet.

What is going on it smells when i play it. it still smells when the controller is turned off.

I liked that smell when I got my PS3. Took every intermission in COD4 to smell it. But it wore off eventually =(

I have the original ps3 sixaxis controller which i have learned doesn't have vibration do to the sixaxis

does the new dualshock 3 controller still keep sixaxis even though it has vibration???

Yeah it still has the motion sensing :)
Its also quite a bit heavier, but it a nice way
I got one too and I love it, so nice to have the vibration back :D
