Hi, I have just purchased Mario superstar baseball gamecube game, as I was told it can play on the nintendo wii console. However, it comes on alright, but when I use the nintendo remotes it wont play on the press start command,I have also tried reset of the red buttons, but it does not activate. Can anyone tell me what I can do to activate the remotes and play the game? thanks
you need to use a gamecube controller...not the wiiremote. you need to buy a gamecube controller if you do not have one and it hooks up on the port of the wii. there is also a much improved mario baseball game for the wii which is called mario super sluggers and it is for wii and it uses motion controls so yeah i would return the game cube game and buy the other one.
Ok, so for Mario Baseball on Gamecube, I beat every mini-game on star difficulty, and I beat the Grand Prix once. But it STILL will not let me buy the secret map in challenge mode, it says "You can't buy this yet"...and there is no way in hell that I am going to try to beat the Grand Prix again!!
Why can I not buy it in challenge mode???

You might only be able to buy it on the "Special" difficulty or whatever it's called. I do know that there's one more after star.

I remember reading in a preview for this game that the controls would be similar to Wii Sports baseball; they are not. This is really just a Mario Superstar Baseball 2.0. There’s a few new characters, a few new fields, and the graphics got a face lift, but its the same game. My biggest complaint is that the Wii-mote controls were really an afterthought, instead of what the game was built around (as it should have been!!!). Instead of swinging the remote to swing the bat with harder swings producing harder hits, you just flick the remote to simulate a button push.
