im on ebay an im thinking of getting this cable for zelda: wind waker. my son owns 2 gameboys and has pokemon ruby and pokemon firered. he needs a cable to connect them but im not sure will this cable work on the gameboys.

it connects one at a time. and the Nintendo Gamecube Game Boy Advance Cable isn't needed in Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker. You can use it, but you most definitely do not need it. In addition, why would you want to hook up 2 Game Boy Advances at once? You can't play Gameboy Advance games on your TV using that cable. In that situation you're looking for a Game Boy Player.
I really don't understand your question to be honest. You can't connect your Pokemon games to your Wind Waker game. It doesn't work like that. The Nintendo Gamecube Game Boy Advance Cable is almost useless in my opinion.

you have to use a plug that you get with you game cube. Then go to migrate on your gameboy advance and wait. havent tried it but it might work since my friend did it.

I know to go to phenac city basement, I know I need to save AT a pokemon center, and I have the Gamecube Gameboy Link cable, but everytime I try it won't work! On Sapphire, I'm at the middle counter and is waiting on trading. On Pokemon DX I'm on the page that says connecting to gameboy advance. Please insert the cable in socket 2 and turn GBA on. I wait and wait and NOTHING HAPPENS! What am I doing wrong?

The year is 1989. Nintendo had a near-monopoly on the video game market with the NES, and they are looking to expand with a handheld system. Enter the Game Boy. It’s a huge, 1.3 inch thick brick with an ugly grey casing and a spinach-colored monochrome screen, and required 4 AA batteries. The hardware was nowhere near cutting-edge, even for 1989. But it was successful for the same reason the NES was; it had amazing games. Tetris was the gaming craze at the time, being played on computers everywhere. Nintendo had managed to wrangle out the rights, and Tetris came packaged with the Game Boy. It was a huge smash hit; Game Boys were being bought not only by kids, but by adults who frequently traveled by train or plane. Sega and Atari quickly made their own, technologically advanced handhelds. Even though these systems had backlit screens, and played games in color, they were not as successful, mainly because they used a ridiculous amount of batteries, and they cost almost twice as much as a Game Boy. For the next 6 years, Nintendo had cornered the market.
